Building Control - Level Architecture in East Kent

What is building control?

Building Control deals with the technical design of the project. It examines the structural elements, energy efficiency, as well as health & safety concerns over the life of the building. Once work commences on-site, Building Control Surveyors will attend the site to carry out site inspections. All inspections are recorded with a final completion certificate once all work is completed to the statutory requirements.

When would I need one?

All proposed structural work on a property will require Building Regulations. This includes external and internal work. An application is to be submitted to The Local Authority or an Approved Inspector. Once an approval of plans has been issued, work can then start on-site.

Why Choose Us?

Level Architecture will create structural drawings including full construction notes and submit them on the client’s behalf, dealing with any enquiries, taking away any pressure on the client. We will arrange for structural calculations to be generated and submitted to Building Control. Level Architecture will attend the site upon request.

What have we done?

All structural projects will require some involvement with Building Control, and as such, all of our projects, including our clients' extensions, have been worked on.
